what happened to paper mario come on it changed a lot like the battle system to the bowser becoming a good guy. and dont get me started on thescore thing. just tell me what happened to paper mario??? |

What 'happened'? Well, obviously the first two games were RPG style adventures with a turn-based battle system, segmented into 8 chapters. This time around, Nintendo simply wanted to try to give the Paper Mario franchise a new spin on things. Instead of a turn-based battle system like before, they've brought you a pure action-adventure platforming game, though still somewhat reminiscent of the last two Paper Mario titles, for example in that it's seperated into 8 chapters. And of course, they get to try something different with the *cough* lovable paper characters.
So there's certainly no doubt that it changed a lot, significantly so between TTYD and SPM. Also, this isn't the first time Bowser's joined on Mario's side, as many of us know. He joined Mario's team in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for Super Nintendo... and now he's simply joined him once more. Both times were more for his own gain (or so he likes to say) anyways. |

They changed it as a throwback to the classic Super Mario Bros. games.

I have a feeling Fiberglass Mario is going to be different, too. Probably combining first-person shooters, golf, and hordes of zombies posing as hordes of toast.
