However, in order to find ourselves, we often must compare ourselves to these fictional characters, as well as real-life figures. For without them for us to compare to, we will simply make the same mistakes they did, follow the dark roads they've followed, and just won't learn from the medium they've been created for. If you refuse to compare yourself to them, you're just turning a cold shoulder to morals, history, and blinding yourself from traits with which we can use to grow into better people.
The second point, however, I won't argue, as it's true. |
