There is a lot you can hate in this world. Why not post the companies or groups you hate?
Company: Active Enterprises. Now defunct, but why did the world have to face Action 52?
EDIT: Also, Colgate. They don't care about the fair use laws, and suspend everybody (and I mean EVERYBODY) from YouTube who uses Dr. Rabbit.
Group: PETA. I'm not going to be a vegan, thank you.
EDIT2: Off-Topic, but I need to say something about 4k!ds.
They don't try to butcher animes. They try to "westernize" them, or turn them into a average western cartoon. To do this, they HAVE TO heavily edit them. Basically, they try to turn it into some kind of TV-Y7 kids cartoon.

The Cult of Scientology. They're all a bunch of greasy, tax-avoiding restrictive slime balls who will do anything in their power to cover up the bad things they did. |

Letsee...
Microsoft - It's one thing to have kickass shooters and online, it's ANOTHER THING ENTIRELY when you take Rare away from Nintendo. I've never forgiven Microsoft for that, and probably never will. How dare they take my wonderful Banjo away from his home. ;~;
4K!DS - Right....look, they did the first Pokemon season great, the second well, the third to the point where it was watchable, and gave Pegasus a good voice. Otherwise, they have killed every series they've ever come in contact with, and successfully destroyed my faith in most english-dubbed Japanimation. Moving on...
SEGA - Look, WE KNOW YOU JUMPED THE SHARK! STOP MAKING US REALIZE IT OVER AND OVER BY SENDING YOUR ALL-STAR CHARACTERS TO THE BUTCHERS! All the love went out of Sega when the Dreamcast died...all the love...so tragic...*sniff*
Nintendo of America - ...I have nothing to say to you, Regginator. |

As a toy collector: I SLAGGING HATE MATTEL. They SUCK at anything that is not Barbie or Hot Wheels. WHY do we need a hundred Batman figures that are all exactly the same, except for the weapon they come with?! For Barbie that makes sense, since you're really just buying the clothes and the doll comes as a bonus, but kids who buy Batman toys care about BATMAN, not Batman's grappling hook or batarangs or scuba mask or whatevertheshit. And have you SEEN their Avatar figures?! PRIMUS.
...I just reread my own post in Blitzwing's voice. Imagining him ranting about toys is *crag* hilarious. |

| Nintendo took away what would be Dinosaur Planet, poorly placing in Starfox characters and holding back the release date pretty far, so Zelda wouldn't get blown out of the water by a second-party game. Star Fox Adventures was made in the process, and they made sure Conker's Bad Fur Day didn't get the attention it deserved by advertising only to the darkest night-creatures and the most snouty perverts. Oh, and Nintendo is an attention whore. Miyamoto gets all this praise for being in charge of games that had at least 100 other people in production, and Rare's smaller teams that clearly did more work among members didn't get nearly as much as attention. I bet people think that when Shiggy takes a dump, it's like massive media news. Rare did the right thing, Nintendo doesn't want even their second-parties to do anything like being better than they are. At least Microsoft doesn't get upset when they see their second parties rolling on, they give support and coverage instead. |

Hey, the fact of the matter was, at the end of the day, Rare was getting some serious sale figures when it came to their games. DKC was the third best-selling title on the Super Nintendo, trumped by only the pack-in Super Mario World, which is like saying Wii Sports was the best-selling game for the Wii, and Super Mario All-Stars, which was...yeah...
Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64...these games will be remembered forever in the hearts of gamers, and are perfect examples of games done right. Nintendo advertized Banjo-Kazooie as the next Donkey Kong Country, which Miyamoto stated his disdain for. Nintendo sees all aspects, but back in the day, though it promoted its first-party stuffs well, it made sure to give a good ad budget to everything.
Conker's just...well, it was Conker's Bad Fur Day. Can you imagine little Billy: HEY MOMMY! I WANNA BUY THIS GAME! DA BEE POLLENATES DA BIG-BREASTED FLOWA AN' DERE'S SINGING POOP! I WAN IT! That would seriously destroy Nintendo's credibility, since most parents associate Nintendo with all of its 2nd parties. Ever since the days of the NES, Nintendo's had a pretty good grip on its 2nd and 3rd parties, and thus, anything that a 2nd party publisher does expands to it being Nintendo's fault, and anything a 2nd party publisher does right makes Nintendo a golden apple. It's simply that Nintendo is overwhelming in the sense that they make their games with such excellence that it overshadows 2nd parties, like HAL and Rare. With Microsoft, there's a direct sense of failure or success.
Everything just seemed...I dunno, brighter and cheerier on Nintendo, and I was REALLY looking forward to Donkey Kong Racing. No other company could come up with something as fun-looking as that, and it's really too bad...it looked...well, original.
As for Starfox Adventures...hey, it gave games like Majora's Mask and Paper Mario more time to flourish. At least Rare was able to put the Spit N' Polish on it. They did a similar thing by console jumping Goldeneye.
I guess I just don't like the direction Rare's gone since Gregg "the Grim Reaper" took over, and I think that if the team was more successful (which it would've been on Nintendo's console, as Rare had tons of cult followings on the N64), then we might still have the good ol' Super Stamper Bros guiding games along.
And hey, Shiggy's been producing quality games for 27 years now, and basically shaped the industry into what it is today. He's pretty deserving of all of his praise. |
