There are several features of MSPaint that its Help Manual doesn't mention, you know...
Whenever I mention clicking something, I mean click it once.
TABLE OF CONTENTS:
I. Pencil Tool A. Drawing perfect lines II. Eraser tool A. Changing the replacement color B. Erasing specific colors III. Line tool A. Drawing perfect lines IV. Box, Ellipse, and Round Box Tools A. Making Perfect Shapes V. Gradients VI. 10x Magnification VII. Text Tool A. Shadows
---
I. Pencil Tool
A. Drawing perfect lines
1. Select the pencil tool. 2. Hold down the shift key. 3. Draw a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.
II. Eraser Tool
A. Changing the replacement color
This one is simple.
1. Right-click on the color in the pallete you want to use. 2. Select the Eraser tool and left-click to erase normally.
B. Erasing Specific Colors
This one is simple also.
1. Left-click the color in the pallete you want to remove from the picture. 2. Select the Eraser tool. 3. Use the eraser, but right-click instead of left-click.
III. Line tool
A. Drawing perfect lines
This works the same way as the pencil tool method, but using the line tool instead.
IV. Box, Ellipse, and Round Box tools
A. Making perfect shapes
This is simple.
1. Select the tool (Box, Ellipse, Round Box) you want to use. 2. Hold down the shift key until you release the mouse key. 3. Make the shape. It will be flawless.
V. Gradients
This is my favorite technique.
1. Click on [Image]. 2. Select [Attributes]. 3. Set the dimensions to 100x100. 4. Magnify by 2x. 5. Select the line tool. 6. Use the perfect line technique mentioned earlier to draw a diagonal black line from one corner to the opposite corner. 7. Use the bucket tool to fill in the sides with the 2 colors you wish to use. 8. Right-click the bottom color you used on the bottom section. [right-click it in the pallete.] 9. Left-click black in the pallete. 10. Select the eraser tool. 11. Do the "Erase a specific color" trick on the black line, but don't change the colors you have selected. 12. Click on [Image]. 13. Select [Stretch/Skew]. 14. Set the horizontal stretch to 1%. Don't mess with the rest. 15. Exit magnification.
You now have your gradient, but it's way too thin, isn't it? Don't worry.
16. Repeat Steps 12 and 13. 17. Set horizontal stretch to 500%. 18. Repeat 16 and 16 until you get the desired width.
Yoshi pointed this out to me:
If you make an X with a gradient, and color the sides both the same color, you get a triple color'd gradient.
VI. 10x Magnification
I use this trick all the time, literally.
1. Draw a dot. (This is so you can see the difference.) 2. Select Magnify. 3. Magnify the dot by 8x. 4. Select Magnify again. 5. Look for a little white line below 8x. Click it. You will see the difference right away.
VII. Text Tool
A. Shadows (Thanks Orangesoda!)
1. Select Text. 2. Choose a dark color from the pallete. This will be the shadow. 3. Put down a message in bold text. Use any font you want. 4. Make a new text box. 5. Choose a lighter color from the pallete. 6. Decrease the font size by one. 7. Type the same message. 8. Position the message how you want it on the shadow.

This would probably be helpful to me if I didn't have Photoshop. |

HOLY CARAP YOSHI LURVES HIS SIG.
You should open a sig shop in the black market. I would, but I'm kind of lazy right now.
Oh, and if you make an X with a gradient, and color the sides both the same color, you get a triple color'd gradient. Ala, this mexican sunset: |

Well, I didn't about the gradient trick, but the rest was sort of common sense.
Anyways, I don't know, but you don't need a fancy text editor or whatever...
I found it pretty cool.
Choose a color you want, to have a shadow.
Put bold text down, in any font you want. Darker colors suggested, as this will be the shadow.
Then you put down the regular color, you want to use, but make the text smaller. One size smaller. Don't take off the bold. And then position the text, so its where you want it to be.
Positioning the text, but screwing with the text box. You should know how to do it >: |

I'm adding that, but yeah, you get the credit for it. |

That's too complicated for me. Photoshop is better. And easier. |

Paint gives you more precision and is better than Photoshop when you're dealing with small things.
