Do you just throw something together and hope for the best? Do you make everything up as you go? Do you plan things out far ahead of time?

When I write, I usually wait until a good thought enters my mind, throw together a decent opening, and plan everything out as I type. During times when I'm not writing (Lying in bed, trying to get to sleep), I'll play out various possibilites for 'scenes' in my mind, so I don't have to think of things on the spot. Since 100% of my focus is on what I'm in the middle of 'writing', I don't have to hastily put some filler in and ruin half the story. I've got about 90% of a full-length novel already planned out for what I'm in the middle of writing right now.

The only real bad thing about it is that sometimes I play a 'scene' out, then when I have the opportunity to put it in words, it's hard to find the right words. Since I'm a perfectionist with how things are worded, it can make stuff either 1. Turn out bad or 2. Take a loooong time. Which has happened recently, in the thing I'm writing now, since a single line took me weeks so I just decided to word it poorly and move on. D;

As for RPing, like I said, I'm a perfectionist with words. So, my posts take a loooong time to show up since I'll spend half an hour constructing a little fraction of a conversation.

And... Yeah. GOGOGO

When I used to roleplay, I was a faggot. And i'm still a faggot, and use the same rules as I did back then, in posting.

I post the first thing that comes to my mind. Without thinking.

Doesn't sound good? Oh well.

And same with replies. First thing comes in my head, next few seconds, typed and ready to send.

Never any thought.

When I write, I just make it up as I go.
When I RP, which is almost never... I still make it up as I go, but I do take a half-hour to construct a paragraph.

When I write I write epicly. So I take time planning everything out. Usually I already know the end of what I'm writing. As for rping, if it's not in rpot I basicly try to push a fight on my oppenent. I'm very skilled at writing fight sequences so I can do it quickly. I can type a textwall in 5 minutes if it's filled with fighting. This is why many of my rp characters will end up being very mentally unstable and violent.

I wait for a good idea mainly. A ending or opening. From there I normally fill in gaps and complete the BASIC story.

After that, I actually start RPing. And I make changes when nesccsary. Since RPers add thier own... spice to the story, you have to change accordingly.

As for writing... I can't really write. So the stories normally die...

When writing, I like to have at least a basic idea of where I want the story to go. And I don't like to post my stories anywhere unless they're already finished... which is why none of you have ever seen my writing.

I spend hours at a time dreaming, simply looking at all a story has to offer, seeing how a plot will go if I twist it in one way or turn it in another. Whenever I'm not writing or dreaming, I'm being inspired. I take every plot from every television show I see, every game I play, every conversation I overhear...and then, I insert it into my world with my own special touches, adding to the ever-expanding dreamland I have created.

I rarely think of words unless I'm Gruntilda or TGMP (think: rhyming Rare characters...hm...wonder who that could be) for a moment. I just don't write my characters' stories. I AM my characters, I live through their experiences, I take in the lessons they learn and apply it to myself, and I weave a beautiful piece in their honor. Writing is my passion and my life. I simply must conduct my thoughts in such a manner that the whole world may experience their glory, their heart, and all they have to give.

I am a story. I am my own author. Now, allow me to tell you my story in the way only I can...

Every awesome RP that I have ever come up with hits me out of the blue. Once I get on a roll, ideas just start pouring out, and I have myself an awesomesauce RP plot.

I usually try to think of one or two plots for my story, develop back stories for each character and a history for the setting, before I start writing anything. The two plots allow me more freedom, because now I can lead into one of two things or both, which is nice. :D I normally write when the moon is out, don't ask me why; because I don't even know. It's hard to write when you can't see. x_x Most of my stories involve first person scripts and when a tragic event happens the point of view usually changes.

I try to draw things to get me excited to write the story, but sometimes I'm just not excited or too tired at that point. I normally don't post about my stories unless I want to whore them out. D:

I usually RP with little thought. I'm usually thinking of what that character would say, but nothing much more. When I go into novel style, I'm usually writing in second or third person. D:

I think out pretty far while RPing, but usually do it in really short parts, to stop it from being godmoddish, and I can be really descriptive, but usually don't feel like it.

In role play, yoshi goes as he comes up. On his larcane plot, the original thang was:

Get to Castle larcane, via. Bluech's mansion, exactly what we did.

Somehow get to Bluech's forces, and defeat him and the dark lord.

NO KIDDING.

Then, I thought for a second, and made Maldo metal factory, cursed forest, and giant land. Then later, I came up with the skylines for travel, and a new character, Althalos, and lottsa spoilers.

See, when yoshi plans ahead, his plan is always ruined by someone better at RPing than him, ala, when yoshi tried to take down Fort of the raven princess. DISASTER. Yoshi is ashamed to this very day.

Then, yoshi succeeded with Castle Larcane, and the plot may just develop as yoshi is typing.

When writing or RPing; it's the same basic thing. I make a very basic plot, and just evolve off of it. I like to use the Oress Plot as an example of my writing process. It started as a collection plot; hand out the Oress and beat the bad guy. As time went on, I felt I could expand it...so now it has connections to a lot of my OCs, different members and Alts, all that. RPing, I feel, is easier to develop than reading. Because it's like writing a story with other people; so all your ideas and actions mix together. When you're RPing with people willing to go forward, you can turn even the most basic of plots into a big, complex story. Whether you prefer complexity or simplicity is your choice. I like both, if they're done write.

Also, I like to have smaller plots running other the main plot. Each character gets their own story, their own history, which ultimately can decide the course of the plot.

Yeaaaaah.

Usually, I already have a beginning and ending in mind before I start writing. You have to know where you're going in order to get there, of course. But the path to that ending is uncharted. I do have a vague idea of what I want to do, of course, but I never quite know how things are going to go until I get there. I usually only plan things that are going to happen much later on in the story.

I like collecting details about the setting and characters, and then building a plot around that. Of course, I don't write much plot nowadays; I was never really great at it. D:

I do write plenty of second-person, present-tense, and/or cracktacular stuff. Sort of stream-of-consciousness.

As for RP, I try to get into my characters' heads, and react how I think they'd react. When I can't do that anymore, I know it's time to move on. (That's actually what happened to Zidane, only I can't bring myself to clear his alt slot. :<)
