Man, this game is so friggin epic, but I hope that they release new info about the possible single player or if there will be any sort of plot/levels that are in-game.

Yeah, that IS singleplayer. You can choose wether you want to go solo or with buddies. Also, PSMagazine confirms in an interview with MediaMolecule that there is, in fact, a plot.
