Well... This is my first fanfic. I'm usually not the best writer, but I really wanted to share this story with you guys, so I might as well take a stab at it.

---Prologue

"Let's get this thing fired up!" exclaimed Professor Alvin Gadd as he booted up his new time machine. "Heh heh... I've realized the problem with the, uh... Older model... The Cobalt Star only stored a small amount of power, just enough to get you... Not very far... Now, this thing runs on an all-mighty power-star granted to me by Princess Toadstool herself! Unlimited energy in one machine! Just think about the places you can go!" Mario and Luigi looked at eachother uneasily. "You could fight alongside the bravest Toads in The Great Mushroom War! You could go to the future and receive advice from your older selves! By gadds, you could even go extremely far back, to the time where Giant Yoshis roamed the land!"
Toadsworth, listening from the next room, shouted, "TIME MACHINE! NO! NO! REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME?!"
Egadd looked disappointed. "That was last time... THIS... This is the future! I've fixed all the problems and errors! It's perfectly safe...." he said. "Now... Who's uh... Who's goin' first?"

---Part 1

BAM! A loud sharp noise echoed from the front of the room, near the door. Wario and Waluigi stepped out from behind a row of curtains carrying a handheld Bullet Bill Blaster. Wario burst out in laughter "WAHAHAHAHAAA! You fools! Thinking you could create a fancy pantsy super machine without letting me in on it. How STUPID!"
Waluigi chimed in, "Kekekekeee... Well, said, brother! We'll be taking this thing BY FORCE!"
They rushed into the time machine, quickly shooting Bills at Mario and Luigi to get them out of the way. Wario rapidly tried to close the door by pressing random buttons. While shuffling through the controls, he accidentally switched the convert time from 20 years in the past to 100 years in the future. Finally, the door closed, and Waluigi kicked pressed the big, red "GO" button. A bright portal opened in the sky and the machine began to lift in midair.
Egadd whipped two 1-Up Mushrooms out of his labcoat and fed them to Mario and Luigi. Mario woke up and saw the machine taking off, so he jumped up onto it and grabbed onto a handle on the side. Luigi awoke soon afterwards and, too, saw the craft taking off. It was too high for him to grab in to the same handle as Mario, so he grabbed Mario's leg. In no time, the massive machine flew into the portal and it was gone.

More to come. And yes, I know, it sucks, but at least I'm getting a point across.

I like it, but there's two problems.

1) You should put every quote on a different line or wha'ever. It's kind of cluttered.

2) It's kinda short. Although, it does kind of keep you wanting more...

Other than that, I can't wait to see where this ends up. Keep writing. :3
