Its confirmed. Sonic and the Black Knight. Its the second Sonic "Storybook" series, following after Secret Rings.
This time Sonic fights with a sword, and the setting is set in King Arthur times...And apparently Shadow and Knuckles will be playable this time.

Shadow with a gun was understandable, but remember Sonic saif he'd never use GUNS.

Still though... It's not like Nintendo Power to just print a lie on the front cover. It might be far-fetched, but it's not impossible. Sonic hasn't been... Sonic-like lately. |

I wouldn't. It'd be the return of that horrible little urchin Marine, most likely.
At least it's confirmed to be controlled with the control stick instead of those mediocre motion controls from the last game. |
