So I guess this qualifies as "ground-breaking gameplay" on Sonic Team's part, huh?
I am going to laugh my ass off if there are any references to Assassin's Creed in there. And yes, I know Jerusalem =/= England. |

I said this before, in another forum, I'll say it again:
Sonic is wielding a giant heavy sword. Odds are, it will slow him down, thus rendering his trademark skill moot.
Although it looks cool, like Shadow with a rocket launcher, they are both rather pointless. I mean, Shadow can blow things up by using Chaos Blast and Sonic can render tough robots to shreds with his spindash. The rocket launcher and the sword are simply very pointless substitutes for their natural abilities. |

But keep in mind they said the sword and glove Sonic is using were magic.
If that applies, then he would have no trouble running and lugging it around.
While it is slightly pointless, I think it might turn out as an okay gimmick.
And if that turns out to be bollucks, then we've still got Sonic Unleashed to look at. |

Hmm...
Only would work if it was the first part of the tale. Because Beowulf dies at the end, if I remember correctly, at the hands of a dragon.
Nah, it would more likely be Grimm's Fairytales, in which Sonic has to save all the good people from, again, an evil that's twisting their tales. Example: Little Red Riding Hood will be eaten by the wolf because the Huntsman was slain (therefore, he will have to take on the role of the Huntsman). |

We are not judging by the pic, we are being skeptical. All the recent Sonic games have pretty much been crap, so we have good reason to believe this will be too. |
