...And sometimes it'll flash back to normal.

I don't get it. This monitor isn't even 2 years old, and it can't be the video card because I only got that a few months ago...

I'm really, really confused, and I want to smack my monitor until this pink glow goes away, but I don't think that's a good idea.

Most likely, you have a slightly defective monitor. In my old school, there were a few with the same problem, and they're only one year old. Out of like five hundred, three or four were defective.
Actually, I heard that it's usually worth more if it's defective for some reason. Maybe you can sell it for a working one?
