Why do I lose VR points half the time when I finish 2-4!?

Score is determined by racing performance, not place. If you phail for laps 1 and 2, then Banzai Bill (actually a Bullet Bill, but I think the other name is better) your way to 1st place right at the end, you'll still lose points. |

Also, I think there is a maw amount of points or something, seeing as even if I stay about two minutes ahead of everyone, and finish in first, I lose points after getting a shat load. Although, I usually only loose points when I do REALLY REALLY good and get first. WHich is stupid... |

It works like this.
Ex: A has 3000 VR and finishes first. He gets a boatload of points.
B has 8000 Points and finishes second in this same race. He loses a boatload of points.
Hope that clears it up. |

Hope that clears it up. | So you're saying that it's harder to get VR points when you have a lot of them, instead you lose points when you're not in 1st place. |

Yep. You got it! People who have 9000 VR must be really good because of this. I had 7000 something once and I came in 5th (retarded Blue Shells, Red Shells, Lightning, Bloopers, e.c.t. coming every 5 seconds!) and lost about 500 VR. DX |

I noticed that in every race, if you add up all the point gains and losses, it all adds up to 0. (Assuming every player's score is visible, and you didn't use the abs() function on your calculator.) |
