I had to install the Japanese language pack so that I can run Rosetta Stone correctly, but now, every program I run has its default language set to Japanese!
HOW DO I STOP THIS:

Hence another reason why I wish I could read/speak/write Japanese. That happened to me once. Actually, there's a chance it may be irreversible. D: |

Doubt it's irreversible. There has to be somewhere you can change it.
I mean, come on. Windows isn't that user-unfriendly, is it? |

It should be under system settings and then language, but idk. This is why I have a Mac. Idk where it is on PC but it should be there. |

If it's irreversible and it's REALLY REALLY pissing you off, maybe a system restore will work? |

Code: | Control Panel > Regional Options > Language settings for this system > Set default... |
That's how it is in Windows 2000. Not sure about Win XP, because I'm using the computer in my room to post while I do homework.
If your browser is only showing Japanese, then go to Code: | Tools > Internet Options > Languages | and make sure the first language at the top of the list is English.
Speaking of browsers, mine seems to be broken because all wiki-type sites (Wikipedia, Uncyclopedia, the digibutter wiki...) are all in bold lettering. I even messed with the system display scheme and removed all bold text. (I tried to find the Portal Font off the internet (the font used in Portal Custom Maps), but couldn't find it.) |

Before you had the Japanese language pack, your Paint message box was in Japanese but looked like "untitled [][][][][]?" Now you installed it and the characters are readable. All English options should be the same. If not, sorry, I dont know how to change that. |

Then all I can say is that your computer needs to be Geek Squad'd. |
