If you weren't on last night, here's a summary. ooF and rawrskey made a few alt accounts, put porn in their avatars, and went spotlight crazy. As a result, the site was down for the rest of the night. We had no idea what was going on. Hell, we thought we'd gotten hacked.
And what if we had gotten hacked? Would you have tried to bring the site back? Would you even know it was down, or would it take maybe a week for you to check and find out? And furthermore, if the site was down for good, how would we contact you to start afresh?
I know you have a life (which is more than can be said of most of us nerrs), but can you try to do something? Ensure something like this never happens again? Appoint another admin if you really can't be on more than a few hours a week, maybe. Make stricter rules for newbies. Start IP-banning these trolls. Something. I don't know how important this site is to you, but to some of us, it's a second home. Can you please help us protect it?
And maybe I'm way outta line saying any of this, and maybe I'm being whiny or petulant here, but something has to be said. ._. |

We have Digibackup. Francis isn't a member there (yet) but enough members know about it to keep in contact. |

Gold-chan, that's just it. Many members know about our backup. If the people who hack Digibutter are members, then they could just go to the backup site and hack that. That's something we need to be prepared for, right? ...Right? |

I was the one who took down the site. I need to to stop them and figure out what was going on. Also, I should point out that when stuff like this happens, it is a good idea to view the chat where I can give out quicker updates.

Everytime something like this happens, I try to take measure to insure that it doesnt happen again. It is true that I can not monitor the site 24/7, but I do check frequently throughout the day. I have thought about giving the mods access to a big red emergency button that sends my phone a text message. |

I couldn't access the chat, but it's good to know what happened. Thanks... I really was afraid we'd been hacked for a few hours there. |

North East Way, Francis has the situation under control everybody. He works hard to ensure your safety. He knows what happened, and he's currently taking measures to ensure it never happenes again. (I still think you should take into consideration what I said in that PM I sent you Francis). There is nothing more you can do, so I suggest you all pipe down, and go on with your digibutter lives. |
