I look left and right about here and everyone seems to get a kick out of violence and bloodshed. I really can't take any of it, and I feel like a fish out of water here.
Am I the only one here who hasn't watched Saving Private Ryan out of fear, nearly passed out watching Saw II and other such acts of being a total pussy? D:
Am I the only one who doesn't find gore fun or, if you're THAT into it... hot? |

Yes... Because not watching Saving Private Ryan automatically makes you a wuss who does not like violence. Seeing how everyone here (almost) has seen Saving Private Ryan... Well... You are a fish out of water... I think... |

Well gore and violence are two different things. American History X is a very violent movie, but not necessarily gory.
Avoiding any representation of violence is avoiding a huge part of life, and you would not have a well balanced view of the world we live in IMO. I appreciate realism (Saving Private Ryan, Rambo 4), because I want to know what war was really like, and not a fake PG-13 version. You can't really understand the tragedies of war without seeing it.
Saw II, on the other hand, is just rediculous... and I DID pass out in the theatre while watching it.

I think it's enough to say that I hate gore.
I don't mind a small amount of it, but...
It just freaks the hell out of me. x_x |

Well, I have mixed feelings. I do enjoy violence in video games. In real life, I try to stay out of fights. Heck, I don't even think I could shoot a deer. |

I am particularly fond of gory movies, I am indifferent on violence though. |

I dislike violence. I have never watched and of the Saw Movies, or Saving Private Ryan... well, I wasn't allowed, but, you know. I probably wouldn't anyway.
I didn't watch through The Hills Have Eyes, because I thought it was tasteless and stupid. When it comes to horror, I want it to get into my head and wreck my mind, not splatter blood all over the screen.
If there's humour in the violence, I'll laugh. If it's just violence for the sake of removing someone's head, I'll leave.
Irl violence, I try my best to avoid completely. Verbal and physical. Of course, if someone is ticking me off, and they've been doing it for a loooong time, I might get violent.
Violence in novels, comics, and cartoons is fine, though.

I'm not a big fan of gore...but I can certainly handle it. As for violence, like Para, I'm pretty indifferent towards it. My stories tend to be somewhat violent, but I just find violence fun to write about. But I'm not a big fan of violence in real life. Just in fiction. IRL, I'm usually opposed to violence and whatnot. |

Violence and gore, I candle handle. But I severely despise the two. I am possibly the most wimpy male on the planet. Heck, I'm scared of water slides. As for IRL violence, I always will try to get out of it, or never engage in it. |

Real gore would freak me out. For instance, if I see a guy IRL getting his head blown of I'd probably faint. But not when it comes to movies or video games because its FAKE. |

I can't stand violence because it disturbs my queasiness factor. But also, it's not right in the first place to want to hurt people to trigger queasiness factors, so yeah... I'm against violence for the most part.
I might wanna punch someone in the face sometimes, but I never do, cuz it's purely a thought and not an action. |

Hmm...
In terms of what I see, I don't generally go out looking for bloodshed and such but, when I do come cross it, I do feel a bit of satisfaction and joy out of it. I have a couple theories as to why, but that doesn't matter.
As for me causing violence, that's not me. I prefer to settle things peacefully. |

It really depends on my mood. If i'm in a decent mindset, I wince at violence in movies(Except Star Wars, which lacks actual bloodspill because the same slash cauterizes the wound it makes.)
If I'm angry, I just load up Half Life 2/TF2 and go bezerk. |

Nah. No matter how real it looks, it doesn't bother me. However I may twitch at some scenes. |
