Lately, while browsing Digibutter, pop-up prompts have been appearing asking me for authorization to Mario Wiki (username and password).
I find this strange, as I never visit Mario Wiki, and, as far as I know, Digibutter has no connection to Mario Wiki.
I have checked for malware, and there is none.
I was not browsing Mario Wiki at the time. My history has no record of ever visiting that site, either.
Is Francis implementing some new Mario Wiki integration thing, is my computer just weird, or am I dealing with an incredibly stupid hacker who is trying to get the username and pass of someone who doesn't even have an account on the site they want dead? |

Huh... Someone else was getting this same problem last night.
I hope it's nothing serious. .-. |

Same.
It could be some malware that was planted on some site, or someone may have managed to hack Digibutter and plant malware in a specific post or topic, allowing a hacker to phish for passwords. If it's new, then most anti-virus/spyware/adware programs won't be able to detect it for a while.
It could be a genuine hacker, testing out a phishing program on here.
It could be a stupid hacker, assuming that people will place a username and password into a PROMPT for another site.
Or, it could just be Francis making something new.
Those are my guesses. |
