RPOT has been distinguished as an RP forum mainly for short RPs and character interaction, not full-out 20 page serious RPing.

I haven't seen one "rpot sux ot is betar" thread in weeks. I'd say the 'rivalry' is dead except for the people who try to force some sort of conflict.

RP and RPOT have completely different functions as forums.

To be honest, most of those are your own personal opinion.
Or, if you think they're facts, do show some proof, would you?
Anyway, RPOT is fine as it is. If it gets deleted, it's obviously going to annoy countless people, and possibly cause people to leave.

That's the purpose of RPOT. Short, casual, simple RPs. Like training RPs. RPOT is just a place where our characters can meet, interact, introduce themselves, and just have random little "adventures", not topics that are meant to go on for 10+ pages. There are a lot of long RPs in RPOT, but a lot of those belong in RP.

Aren't both sides to blame for that? If everyone just shut up and never discussed RPOT in OT or vice versa {although, the rivalry's died down quite a bit}, we wouldn't have this problem, now would we? In all honesty; I wouldn't give a *crag* if both RPOT and OT got nuke'd or something.

True, but people would probably flood RP with "casual" topics, or complain about it.
I'll probably be making more plots {that don't involve the Oress plot, mind you} in RP in the future...I already have three different ideas for plots.

The problem with RPOT is that it was supposed to be a place of craziness where anything could happen, but, over time, it changed in to something else. I've noticed that alot of threads tend to be continuations of events from other threads, so something extremely unusual or crazy doesn't happen very often- if it does, it must be started by an established alt that people know about or have seen often.
You see, it's hard to uphold the plot rule, because RPOT has become a giant plot itself. I'd like to see things change, but I doubt they will. |

That's the problem. Everyone is so stuck up in this *crag* continuity that nothing new can ever happen. If we just had RP that would never happen, because each plot would be constrained to a single topic.
I don't think people realize that RP doesn't have to be UBER SERIOUS, and if they would try it they would like it.
