Just got out. And now I'm running over to Kvatch to fetch an illegitimate son and shit.

Oh yeah, and my character is a Bosmer Assassin.

Custom classes > stock classes. Also, next time you create a character, save in front of the door out so you can make new characters later without going through all the bullshit.

This is my first time playing an RPG this open-ended, so I decided to stick with a premade class. I'm paranoid about screwing things up like that.

The only other character I had considered creating was a Monk, simply because the idea of hand-to-hand combat is pretty *crag* awesome.

yeah, I suppose that's a good idea since my first character was crap and I ended up ditching it. Just remember to make a better one once you realize how the game works, 'cause you can do much better. I don't know what the Assassin's skills are like, but some are retarded (like the Bard, a Stealth class without Marksman as a major skill. You can't get close enough to someone to catch them unawares with a sword).

Major skills are Acrobatics, Alchemy, Blade, Light Armor, Marksman, Security, and Sneak.

That's not too bad, with the exception of Security (you can get the Skeleton Key fairly easily at level 10, which is an unbreakable lockpick, rendering the security skill useless).
If you use it right and try to go for sneak attacks with the bow, whipping out a shortsword or longsword for quick melee fights, you can do pretty well without having to turn the difficulty down.

The Skeleton Key quest gave me nightmares... D:

AnyWAIZ, I am an Argonian Battle Mage.I prefer Hand-to-Hand, I love the spell Ice Touch (though I have no clue why). Guards are a pain. I punch everyones corpses after I strike and steal everything they have including their clothes.

Very Happy

I remember hacking a file just so I could make an uber spell. I forgot about saving and loaded another file. That spell literally blew away everything.

Anyways, I love hand-to-hand combat. I either use Imperial Dragon armor or Archmage stuff combined with Imperial Dragon gloves. Gives you the best look, IMO. Or Ebony Gauntlets. Either that or I'd use a claymore.

I have about 9 gigs of mods. That's nothing compared to some Elder Scroll fans I've seen online though...
