What's your opinion on statutory rapе? That is, sexual interaction that is completely consentful, but made illegal by some other factor, such as age.
Personally, I think is you're going to show consent to sex, and you know all the risks, then it should be fine. It shouldn't matter the age (or any other factor, really) of a person, as long as both partners are completely aware of what they're doing and what can come of it.
And I swear, if I get striked for bypassing "rapе" for a serious discussion on it, I will laugh so hard. |

I really don't want to see a 16 year old girl with a 40 year old "boyfriend". I like the consent laws in my area; if it involves a minor with a legal, 3 years max age difference as in birth years. |

Since once you hit 18 you're considered an "adult" in the US, and in PA as soon as you hit 18, you can't have sex with anyone below 18... It makes a lot of relationships hard. The age of consent is 16, but it really doesn't mean anything if you think about it.
My girlfriend is a grade below me, and I'll be 18 before she's 17. So even though she's at the age of consent, when we have sex after I turn 18, it'll magically become statutory rape? I think that's horribly, horribly wrong. |

The thing is, kids, and alot of teenagers, are stupid. Or they lack common sense, at least- can you expect a 14-year-old or 15-year-old to have the same level of judgement as an 18-year-old or 19-year-old? I highly doubt they would- their sense of judgement is still developing.
Personally, I think the system should be re-done to where if one wants to have sex with someone younger than 18, he/she must at least be within 1-2 years of age. Meaning, an 18 and 17-year-old, and possibly an 18 and 16-year-old. |

That's dumb too. What if one person is 22 and the other is 20? |

I don't think age matters to anyone once you get older. I mean, look at some parents. A mother and a father could have a huge age gap. I know someone's mother is 11 years younger than her husband. And no, this does not mean the father is a pedo. You both are adults now, so you can do what teens can't do nowadays.
... I will shut up and leave this topic now. |

I believe people can have sex at any age, but those who have sex at 15 is rather foolish. Just enjoy kissing the hell out of your girlfriend/boyfriend until you reach 18. |

No it is 18. But personally I think 18 is too young for sex, so I went with 21. |

Uhhh... yeah, that's what I'm saying. You're saying that you can't have sex with anyone over 21 until you are 21. |

I agree with it, However I also see the flaws with it, mainly with high school dating. Good Idea, that I think should be taken on a case by case basis. |
