Get a sound file without actually downloading anything?
He means he wants to make a youtube video, sort of a sprite animation thing, but there was one thing....
YOSHI LACKS MUSIC. ;; SIMPLE AS THAT. YOUTUBE VIDEOS FAIL WITHOUT MUSIC, WHICH YOSHI EVIDENTALLY CAN'T DOWNLOAD DUE TO CRAPPY PARENTAL CONTROLS.
So yeah, no illeagul methods pl0x. |

The only way to get music without downloading anything is to get a CD/storage device and put it on your computer. You'd have to rip the CD, but that's not very hard. |

Actually, you can record a sound file directly from your computer, no mic required, if you have a sound recording program (I suggest Audacity, because you can edit out the silent parts at the beginning/end, and it's free):
1. Open up the volume controls by double or right-clicking the volume icon in the taskbar.
2. Go to Options>Properties
3. Click the Recording option.
4. In the bottom section, make sure that Stereo/Mono (whuchever you prefer) Mixer is selected, and click OK.
5. Click the "record" button of the recording program.
6. Quickly open/maximize the browser window with the sound file you want to be recorded, and start the sound. It should be recording in the recorder. You can make noise, as it's recording straight from the computer.
7. When the sound is finished, stop the recording program, and edit out any unwanted silence. Save it as an MP3 file (Audacity requires you to download a codec to be able to save as an MP3 file, it's very simple).
NOTE: You may need to adjust the Recording/Mixer volume accordingly depending on the sound you are recording. |
