I'm not sure what to save up for, so why don't you guys help me decide?

I enjoy WoW, and if I get bored, I can play GW, and vice-versa.
I also dislike the monthly costs.

My old DS has two broken buttons and the hinge is loose, yet there are some games I like.
I also don't want to spend $130 on a new one again.

So, what should I do, Digibutter? New DS or nerdy MMORPG?

WoW is more awesome than most of the games on the DS. There are some things on the DS worth checking out- but it really depends on what you'd like to spend your time doing. Playing a single good game for a long time, or playing more than one game but with a relatively long wait in-between?

Well, I had a lot more fun with Guild Wars (Which I continue to have fun with now) than a lot of DS games, and I used to play WoW.

Another DS would just mean having another one break on me. It would be my 4th DS.

I reiterate; jeez, you guys are way too rough on your DSs.

I've had my second DS since 2006. It's barely even scratched from the two or three times I dropped it.

Two of my three broke for no reason after being taken care of well.

I'm going for the WoW subscription. Another fun MMO > Another DS to randomly break on me.

Depends on what you'd rather be in for.

WoW: Incredibly amazing game, but requires DAYS of constant play just to get ANYWHERE, and the expansions require you to fork out even more dough on top of the *crag*ing 15-bucks-a-month fees just to play the game.

A New DS: Well, the things are a bit delicate, but they are still fun. Plus, I don't know of any Wi-Fi games that Nintendo makes for the handheld that require a monthly fee.

Imo, get a DS. You get more games, and you can play them for a longer time than the subscription of WoW lasts, sometimes.

Also, once you have your games, they're free.

I think I'm going for WoW this time. I don't really think I want to get another DS, anyways. There's only two games I'd want, and then there's all the causal third-party crap.

I'll ask for a new DS for Christmas or something.
