Since most GD topics I've seen were pretty "serious discussions" (for the most part), why not rename GD into "Serious Discussion" forum?
And since in Off Topic you really can't go off topic and since it also has rules, why not rename it to Light Discussion, or Random Discussion, or Others forum?
Just a thought, because there has been SOME interesting OT topics which isn't off topicy at all. And same with GD. Its not really "general" in my view. |

...I dont see why everyone is suggesting to change the names...
...who cares where its OT or OF all it will do is bring up minor confusion in the beginning...
...then another person will say THAT name doesn't fit...

It'll be the same damn randomness in OT/LD, and the same damn controversy in GD/SD.
No name is actually fitting, so the name change will do absolutely nothing to help or hinder the site. |
