I can imagine a commercial with The song from Smash Bros 64's commercial playing., Mario and Pikachu are skipping through a field, suddenly, the music scratchs, and they see Sonic and Snake standing across the field, after a brief stare-down for a second, the music plays again, and they begin fighting.
Or perhaps once where you see Mario, Link and Kirby fighting in front of a park bench, suddenly, they see a blue blur dash onto the scene, we see a glimpse of white and red shoes, and blue hair, at last, the dust clears, revealing...
NEWCOMER: IKE
The fighters raise their eyebrows, and the commercial fades out, but at the last second, you can see Sonic laying on the park bench, sipping a soda... |

Take some SSE scenes, ram them together, and paste the main theme over it. It would have taken much less effort and it would've done a much better job than what we got. |

The last good commercials for any game for Nintendo were for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games. You know, the ones with the oversized mascot suits. |
