There's a mountainside in my city with a long, winding trail going down its side. At the bottom, there is a mine, in which 112 miners died due to an explosion. Two of my friends and I went into the mine, because a couple of the bars blocking it off were removed one way or another.
It was freezing, and there were cave crickets everywhere. This is a cave cricket:
They are BIG, PRICKLY, and CREEPY.
Anyway, we were in the mine for a while, and we "mined" some coal out and brought it home as souvenirs. On the way home, however, something weird happened.
I was walking with my friends, and I stopped for a SECOND to fix my shoe. I looked up, and both of my friends were gone. Completely and utterly gone. I called one and asked him to yell as loud as he could, and he did. I couldn't hear him at all. I yelled, and he couldn't hear me, either. So, basically, I got lost by looking down for a second. Good thing I was on the trail.
I kept walking, and it kept on getting darker and darker. I brought a flashlight for the mine, so I turned it on. I walked for about 5 minutes and then checked the time on my phone. It was 8:44 pm. I started to jog, and then something happened.
I looked ahead and shined the flashlight in the direction I was moving, and I thought I saw something move behind a tree. I stopped, and shined my flashlight around some more, and I saw a white mist move across the trail, and then vanish.
I started to run my little ass off, and managed to make it back to the top at 8:15 pm. Yeah, that's right. 29 minutes before I checked the time.
I was freaked out, and called my friends. They were still on the trail. They said I fell behind, and when they noticed about 10 seconds later, I had completely vanished.
I don't know what happened, and I'm still panicking, and shaking, and... I don't even know what I'm feeling right now.

... Damn. Reminds me of when I got lost at Lake George. I litterally took a single blink, and everything had changed. Creepy as hell. One second I was walking back with my cousins, the next I'm in the middle of the store place, alone. And creeped out because there was basically no one there. By the time I made it back, I had found out that I just left with two of my cousins to find my other cousins. Which had happened about an hour earlier.
But still... that's creepy as hell. IS THE UNIVERSE DIEING? |

Possible time travel caused by a rift in the time continuum, or you were pulled into a different dimension all together. Or perhaps it was nothing; just a hallucination caused from a possible reaction that your body had to the environment of the mine. |

The last one sounds more reasonable. But if 112 miners died in the mine, I would think that it's paranormal stuff.

Actually, they may have hallucinated, and killed each other. But it could have been paranormal, just as much.
You know, I'd like to study that mine. Maybe... maybe I should work in mysteric science? :3? |
