I like G&W because:
His style fits mine.
His aerials are some of the fastest and strongest.
LOVE judge.
His smashes are REALLY fast.
He's weak in the sense that a KO requires high damages, but he's strong in that he racks up damage quickly.
Recovery that does not leave you vulnerable at any point in its execution.
I can keep foes at bay with an almost constant barrage of tropical fish, turtles, and keys. Keeps 'em in the air forever.

I like Meta Knight because:
Racks up damage quickly.
Easy for combos.
Keep foes in the air.
Fast.

My other mains are Toon Link, Olimar, Lucario, and Dedede, but I don't feel like posting them.

I like Lucario because:

1) He's a Pokemon
2) He can counter
3) He has a projectile attack
4) The more damage he takes, the more damage he can deal

I like using Lucas because he fits my style. Toon Link too. I like using Luigi because he's just fun to use. Ike, also for fun.

Meta Knight, because:

1) All specials can be used for recovery
2) Standard attack surrounds MK with pain and has little or no interruption
3) Gliding

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but I know there's more reasons than that.

I tend to use the lighter characters, and "low-tier" characters, because I just do. Plus, I like to use them because other people rarely use them.

Marth - Because he's fast, powerful, and uses a sword.
Ike - Same reasons as above, but more powerful, slower, and weaker against faster characters (e.g. Sonic). Due to the fact that my friends almost always play as fast characters, I now use him mainly as an anti-CPU. It works.
Toon Link - Same reasons as Marth, plus he has bombs and people said I was being too cheap with Marth/Ike.
Wario - Fun to play as, but a little hard to get used to.
Captain Falcon - Fun to play as, but too easy to get into the habit of using Falcon Punch every 10 seconds.
Snake - If you know what my favourite weapons are, you'll know why I find Snake fun.
King DeDeDe - What isn't there to like about a giant penguin-like eagle who throws orange puffballs and eyeballs at everyone?

I used to like Meta Knight... until I realized that his stats didn't match up with my fighting style. He's still cool, though. Especially when I try to fly around Hyrule Temple and New Pork City in different paths.

...Tiers? I always laugh whenever anyone mentions tiers in Brawl; apart from Sonic and maybe a few others, I don't find that they even exist in this game.

Yoshi-I just wanted to try someone who I though was bad, but Yoshi turned out best!

Kirby-Kirby fan and I used him in Melee.

Marth (barely)-I just want to try him out. He's okay.
