Bored, so I wrote this. It fails. It was for that character I drew a few days ago with the broken glass eye, or whatever. o3o Kthnx.
In fairy-tales, the Princess always falls in love with a man who her father does not approve of. They always create a night to run away with each other, into a place where they could get married. Usually, they succeed. Fairy-tales however, are sometimes close to real life. Often people decide to get out of their town, and run off with the one they love, without telling anyone else about it.
The question is, why? Was love really that strong of an emotion, or was it alone just an illusion? Was there an answer, or was the answer as confusing as emotions themselves? Is there anyone who knows the answers to these questions, or are they just questions that leave humans wondering about them, and have no way to be answered? Is it just an illusion, or isn't it?
These were the normal questions of a scientist. You only got answers by asking questions, regardless if you were aware of the answer or not. If you were, the question wasn't really worth asking in the first place. Now, if you had to think, and form a hypothesis about the question, it would lead to tests, and observations. Which normally were the scientist's favorite part. Why? Because it gave them the thrills to see if they could prove something or not.
She didn't know these questions. That was why she created it. A humanoid computer, made to hold all the data that existed in the world today. Definitions of words. Government documents. Stories. Anything you could imagine. Of course, it was easy to import the data. The difficult part would be getting it to work. It hadn't taken that long to make, just a few months. It was worth it, too. Lying on a metal bed in front of the scientist was a human-like form, with its eyes lying closed. The hair on its head looked real, a black in color. The hair wasn't that long, though it had two "rat-tails" on each side of its head. Yes, it. For a computer could never be a person, the scientist didn't believe in calling the form a girl. Even though it took the form of one. It had a rather flat chest, and its body was covered by a black and crimson scheme of clothes. The feet were bare, a medium in size.
The scientist, a woman in her early twenties, reached for the ear, and pressed a small button. Slowly, the form opened its eyes. Both were a bright crimson, imitating the color of blood. "..." It remained silent, not saying a single word. However, it did sit up, staring blankly, yet blinking seldom.
"You're a humanoid computer. You hold all of the data of Japan, so, I do believe you could say you're a... National Data Bank." The scientist spoke, her voice in a matter-of-fact tone.
"...N...o..."
The woman blinked, staring at the humanoid computer. "No," she questioned, " Why would you say that? I created you, so, get up and----" She stopped talking the moment it looked at her, its eyes completely blank, and showing no emotion. For a moment, she actually felt a bit...Sorry.
"...Cre...a...ted?..." The voice of it was barely above an audible whisper. And yet, it kept staring blankly at the scientist.
"Yes, created. You should have the definition of that in your Data Ba---"
Slowly, the form of the computer stepped off of the metalic table, and continued staring blankly.
"Is something wr---"
The computer looked over toward a counter rather close, and reached for a knife with shaky hands. "........."
Slowly, the scientist stepped back. "What are you doing?!" She questioned, nearly a scream. "Put that down and----" Out of fear, she grabbed the closest thing to her. In this case, a hammer. Quickly, she threw it at the computer. Smashing its left eye, which was made of glass, into hundreds of pieces. The odd thing about this is that not a single piece fell out of the "eye socket."
But it was too late. The hammer seemed to not effect it. Right in the hollow of her neck, the knife broke the skin, slowly pushing into her flesh. And for the first time that day, it smiled.
It. A humanoid computer in the form of a girl. She obviously wasn't an "it," and she already knew that. Yet, she just stared blankly at the form of the scientist, lying on the ground dead. Of course, the vision in her left eye was...Fuzzy, she supposed. Most likely because it was shattered.
She took one last glance at her creator, before stepping over her dead form, and taking a few steps out of the lab. Out of the lab, she noticed that she was in the...Kitchen, she believed you called it. She lifted a hand to brush a piece of hair from her face, yet ended up noticing her shattered eye, once again. It was broken...glass.
"...To...gi...re...To...gi...re... Ha...ri." She spoke, staring into the space in front of her. Her so-called creator... She told her that she was a ...Humanoid Computer, right? Something along the lines of a 'National Data Bank?' She didn't quite understand, yet, as she didn't feel like a... 'computer.' All she knew was that she felt as if she knew everything. "What...Am...I?" She questioned herself, still looking blankly in front of her, in the abandoned house. If she were...alive, she guessed she would be feeling desolation. But everyone, including her, knew that computers couldn't...Experience emotion.
Regardless, she opened the front door of the house, and took a few steps outside. Was it so wrong to be interested about life, even if you're not truly...Alive?

Love it! Is this going to be a continuing story, or just a oneshot?
I'm too lazy to think of criticism lulz. |
