I was thinking, sometimes there are AMAZING threads that deserve to stay alive for long periods of time.

We know of the [YES], [NO], [drama], etc. buttons, but why not include one that says [sticky]?

Think about it, people vote, and if, say, 15 or more people think it should be stickied, a mod can sticky if for a week or so, before having it taken down. Then, if it was wanted to be stickied again, the process would start over.

Anyone that clicks the [sticky] button, however, can only do it once. (Thanks Chaos-Stev-0)

This would be a big help to people in Your Creations. because there are large projects that a ton of people are involved with. Also, it would work in RP/RPOT, because it would keep the huge RPs up and alive.

Supported. But mods can't sticky anything but their own topics, can they?

Oh, my. I didn't even think about that. I'll add it into my post.

They can sticky any topic, it's just that they only do it to theirs.

Then we get another International union of spam, and it forcibly gets stickied.

Yoshi has a point there....Perhaps you have to have a mod sticky it after determining whether or not it should be sticky'd or not after the results are shown.

Well, obviously the mod would make sure the topic was sticky-appropriate. They wouldn't just do it to any thread.

Yeah, that makes more sense.

I assumed it would be self-explanatory. A mod isn't going to sticky a thread full of useless spam/flaming.

Nope.

You sticky topics when you're posting/editing them (As seen in digiblogger), and since mods can't edit other people's posts, we can't sticky other people's topics. Only our own.

LOL, I never realized that Plastic

Anyways, I could just make it auto-sticky when it got enough votes.

Absolutely not. I don't want to see "epic" posts stickied.
