No, I don't mean new as in Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers and stuff like that, because it's obvious that nobody likes them. By "new" I mean the Disney Renaissance, lasting from the late 80's to the early 2000's, versus the classic Disney films of the 40's, 50's, 60's, etc.

There's a lot of differences between the two. Most of the older Disney movies seemed to focus less on songs, (they still had them, of course, but they weren't quite as prominent) and had very neutral, earthy colours, with backgrounds that resembled classical paintings. During the 60's and 70's they went through a phase where all of their character drawings were sort of sketchy and unrefined, but I'm not sure if that was a stylistic choice or if it was done to save money. I really liked the visuals in their movies in this era, but I thought most of the stories were kind of dull, and most of the songs not as memorable. (but of course, there are exceptions)

Renaissance Disney, on the other hand, was characterized by its' loud, saturated colours. Watch Bambi (1942), then watch Hercules (1997) and try not to go blind.
This era really emphasized the 'musical' part of Disney. All of those Disney songs that everyone remembers came from this decade. A Whole New World, Circle of Life, Colours of the Wind, etc. There's really a lot of nostalgia associated with these movies, since everyone who was a kid in the 80's/90's grew up watching them.
I thought the writing in most of the Renaissance Disney movies was much more entertaining than the older stuff. More exciting plots, better dialogue and, as previously mentioned, more memorable songs. The overly bright colours kind of put me off, though. If Disney made a movie with their old art style and their new writing style, it would be perfect.

Both have their ups and downs, but my vote goes to New Disney.

New because Aladdin, Mulan, and Hercules are all absolutely brilliant

EDIT: oh if only I had one more alt slot! I'm overcome with the urge to RPOT as a charecter from one of these movies! I'll be sure to keep this in mind if I ever tire of one of my current alts

I'm sure I would have enjoyed the old one more if I grew up in that era.

Old... we had no money for new VHS cassettes, so I grew up with Old Disney and kinda found New to be... annoying.

New Disney. Because I grew up watching The Lion King, The Aristocats, 101 Dailmations and etc. And also, I was a huge Disney fan in the 90s.

Just don't do Jafar, I have a claim over him.

Anyway, some old Disney movies, like Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Bambi, Alice in Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty are timeless. However, this era introduced us to the Lion King, Aladdin and the like. But what we're getting right now is crap.
