Depends on what you like, there's like 80 million PC games.
Anyways, look into Oblivion sometime. You might like it. |

If you want Online, then I'd say either GW or TF2. Never played TF2, so I'm just saying this based on the opinions it seems to get. *strokes metaphorical beard* |

Spore isn't actually too good.
I recommend you get Team Fortress 2, Half Life 2, Half Life 1, Garrys Mod, and like Counter Strike: Source. But that's if you are into FPS.
If not, I dunno get Obvlivion, Star Wars or other crap.
You should at least of told us what genre you would want. |

Portal is, IMO, one of the best single-player first-person games available. It has a totally epic concept, challenging yet not frustrating gameplay, and a busy online community that you can download player-built levels from and play them. (However, Steam is a piece of crud, and it takes so long to load. So if you don't like long load times, maybe choose a non-Steam game. And you can only download player-made levels on the PC version.) Oh, and Garry's Mod can also run Portal, so if you want to mess with physics, incinerate Turrets, flood the Enrichment Center with everyone's favorite six-sided buddy, etc., you can.
If you want an online game, Roblox is the best one you can get. It has one of the best, yet most intuitive, PC level editors EVER. You can make almost anything (but keep it PG-13, or you're benned), and the more people that like your creations and play them, the more stuff you can get for your character. Also, since most objects are essentially just brick shapes, it isn't as graphically taxing as a high-poly game like HL2. However, beware lag. A lot of people's places (especially big ones) lag SO badly. And a lot of the updates to the game tend to break at least two or three things per update. (I still don't know if they fixed the problem with the Seat object...) To play, you MUST have broadband Bandwidths, and a very good computer. Below 512 MB RAM or 256 MB video memory just won't cut it, and it is made for XP, so if you still have Win 2000, or you went ahead and installed the cragboat known as Vista, you may have problems.
