I would probably not kill them, but take the possible murder weapon, go away, and melt/recycle it. One less weapon means one more life.

Unless of course, it's some kind of evil person, then I'd hesitantly kill them, and be troubled for days. *strokes metaphorical beard*

The 'correct' answer is "No, never!", but no one really knows what they're capable of until they're in a life-threatening state. Someone might say "of course not!" but when push comes to shove, they would. Someone might say "Hell yes!" but they would be too terrified to even speak.

Ultimately, there are too many factors to consider, such as whether I'd be killed if I didn't. Survival is the key issue. As is location and how many people that are forcing my hand are in the area. If just one, I could slash at that guy and then break the other person free and we'd run like hell. But what if he had a gun and he was pointing it at me? I'd have to somehow wrestle it from his hand and take the weapon with me. And what if we were starved before the event? He might easily overtake me and then shoot us both then and there or, worse, prolong our deaths in the most excruciatingly painful ways he could devise.

There is no way of knowing, and when you finally do know, it might be too late...

I would sooner die for somebody I truly cared for than let them die for me, even though the thought of death frightens me more than most people.

If I was being forced to kill somebody to prevent their death, I'd try to find a way around it, like knocking them out, maybe injuring them. Killing would really be the last resort.

Depends on who it is. I'd hate to judge whether or not someone deserved to die, but if they did, and it was the only option for whatever reason, I'd do it. It'd probably be in self-defense or the defense of someone else, so I'd report it to the police, even if I'd go to jail for it.

I'd probably hesitate, but not as much as most. I'm a bit on the morbid side.

I wouldn't kill someone on normal circumstances, but when I get pushed to far, I scare myself. So no, I would kill someone. Brutally attack if provoked enough, but not kill.
