Sure, there's sometimes that point where you really should be innocent, but it's the story of the boy who cried wolf. Like pokemonstein. But you know what? They deserve it! Some people are waisting OUR harmless bandwidths JUST TO SAVE TEN COINS.Like pokemonstein And are found guilty. Every. Single. Time.Like pokemonstein. It should be something along the lines of putting up five cases that are guilty in one month. Sure, accidents happen, but if you get five in a month, you're doing SOMEthing wrong.Like pokemonstein. |

I say that we either go with your idea, or go with something like this. Or both:
If somebody pleads Not Guilty and then is found Guilty, they lose 12 coins instead of 10. Next time 14, 16, etc. This would not have a maximum, so somebody could literally lose 50 coins for that one strike. Though, if they plead guilty they only lose 10.
That way we don't have people like Cudge saying Not Guilty to the most obvious shit just for a chance to not lose a small amount of coins. |

Let me rephrase it.
It's not like 'Oh, you have to plead guilty' at all.
It's only for people who have gotten five court topics proven guilty in a month. Chocobo, you would be able to prove yourself innocent, because you don't take every single little thing to Court.
Like I said, it's the boy who cried wolf. If you kill our bandwidths with your pointless court topics, do you REALLY deserve the right to prove your innocence? No. No you do not. As long as you behave yourself, you won't have that problem. |

Uh, no. I've seen a lot of flaws in the MeowMod. Let's just leave it at that. |

Not support'd.
Although I like Ulti's idea. |

I know this is about me, but I've only been guilty 3 times, 5 including the next two, which may or may not be found guilty. And either way, It's been more than a month.
On another note: I like UltiMario's idea, as long as it resets every 2-3 months or so. |

The meow mod, as Shrowser said, is already broken enough. |

I know meowmod fails, but some people don't deserve that freedom for their actions. |

I don't get what's so bad about Meow Mod. It allows us to do our job without persecution, which makes us more active as mods, because we don't have to worried about hearing "OMG UR A BAISED *crag* DEMOD DEMOD DEMOD". |

...?
Which is why we still have reports on people who are obviously joking and Francis saying "Not guilty" every hour or so?
The system may be getting less and less abuse, but it is still broken, M'aiq suggested that those who senselessly report things that are found not guilty or overall plain idiotic should have a restriction placed on them to slow down the pointless court cases. |

I'm not sure, Meow Mod recently has been reporting things to court for ridiculous things these days, I guess your plan COULD work, and it does sound like it might make improvement, but I'm just not sure. |

not supported
the court system is meant to help determine if the case in question does indeed break the rules
the mods do a good job but they are not perfect
Francis knows this and that is why he implemented a system that will allow digibutter as a whole to help make the best decision possible so that there can be no room for mistakes or hard feelings
the worst thing a forum can do is create a situation where members feel bitter and want to get back at the forum
I've seen many a forum fall apart because a veteran popular member thought they got a raw deal and trolled the place rotten out of anger, got perma banned, and thus hlaf the forum became ticked
a court system insures that everyone at least gets a fair shot to explain themselves to the community and to the site owner
also I agree 100% with Maiq
people who make foolish reports too many times should be held accountable and be stripped of thier right to report posts
this should cut down on the number of court cases |
