Why must you make me choose between my 3 most favorite games of all time?!?
...
Alright, well, DKC 1 actually was my least favorite. DKC 2 was definitely better by several orders of magnitude. DKC 3 got a little too hard at a few points (the fact I didn't have a player's guide didn't help matters much), but it was still a blast as well.
I think probably number 2 is my favorite, though it doesn't beat out 3 by much. |

Donkey Kong Country was full of great memories, indeed. An amazing soundtrack, the is well above and beyond the others in the series. The colorful landscapes, the creative baddies. Plus, it was all so new. Indeed, this one is my favorite out of the series.
Donkey Kong Country 2 was another excellent addition to the family. Though the idea of someone being kidnapped at this point in time was a little, and still is, overused, it was a great game as well. The land scape was right from the pages of a fairy tale. More great boss fights. A more or less average soundtrack. Everything was so fun. Plus, the puzzles. Bonus games finally had more of a purpose than just finding the secret room. You actually needed to WIN them in order to complete the game. More secrets than before, and much harder to find.
