Okay... let's try this.

If I was Genre Savvy (And I am) I would bring either a DS with a solar charger and an edition of LostInBlue of The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy with me.

However, I abandon that in favor of my multi-functional penknife.
For fairness purposes, we assume that is doesn't rust or blunt, though it can of course sink or simply break.

It includes:
- small Saw
- small Ruler
- small knife
- big Knife
- small corkscrew, used as a drill
- pair of pliers
- pair of scissors
- small file
- bottle / can opener

I have that sort of multitool at home, and I added only the ruler and the fire steel.
The swedish fire steel will only be in it if the rules allow so.

Item of Choice: Sonic Screwdriver Inflatable helicopter Multitool. XD

Strengths: Advanced intelligence (I know that this comes off really arrogant, but I'm not much good at anything besides being a smartass), a lot of trivia knowledge (Wiki-maniac); has a wild camping trip behind him.

Weaknesses:
-> Physically frail (Couldn't climb a rope to save me life... *nudge nudge*)
|--> Also, low stamina - king of good at running and dodging (Getting your train at 8:25 in the morning together with other people and running through densely populated school corridors will teach you to dodge - especially since people tend to stand and stare if you run at them...) but weak at far swimming, climbing, etc.
- Dependent on contact lenses / glasses (contacts are unfeasible on an island - I'd have Corneal neovascularization before you could say "blood red eye") which are also not sharp enough - everything after 20 m is unsharp, far sight nearly unexistent.
- Rather annoying and random in person; at moment in a slightly angsty phase of teenage and has trouble controlling his childish impulses.

If this was Gilligan's Island, I'd be like the Professor, only without the completely inappropriate Bamboo Technology -seriously, he built a COFFEE MACHINE out of BAMBOO AND COCONUTS. WTF ?
