In the meantime, play this map:

Portal: Underground Story - MyApertureLabs.com
It contains 45 testchambers and a whole lot of awesome. And there's so many alternate paths and secrets (look out for things like the Tron-esque testchamber, Under Construction rooms, the exterior of Aperture Laboratories, neurotoxin emitters, a G-man giving GLaDOS heck, a Weighted Companion Cube that you DON'T incinerate (though it may get fizzler'd...), Death Fizzlers, ASHPD-stealing forcefields, breakable glass, cake that isn't a lie, a World of Nothing (actually all it contains is a WSC and a Button), several Ratman Dens, and a whole lot more) that if you start playing this map today, it'll probably last you until the release of Portal Prelude just to see all the cool stuff. A great way to get back into the excitement of Portal while you wait for Prelude. (I rated it 5/5 cakes.)

... If I could rate it, I'd give it zero cakes, for one reason
I can't play it. I did what the readme told me to, and when I press the "load" button, nothing happens. It just stays there, as if I didn't press the "load" button. This happens for all three files there is.
Basically, it's unplayable.

EDIT: By putting the map files in the image folder, it somehow made them playable. o3o
