Religion in all forms should be studied in classes unbiased. I remember learning the 5 pillars of Islam in my world history class, I'm fine with that religions historical values should not be omitted.
however religion should not be forced. and neither should the repression of religion. It exists in this world, the history books shouldn't need to cover up on one religions behalf.
When it comes to the pledge I think its just an issue of semantics. if it stays the same out of tradition or changes because of new thinking, One side is going to be butthurt about it and will never stop complaining. |
