It doesn't record audio.
I've checked recording volume and I clicked the "Record sound" button, but neither work. I've also tried it with nothing but the emulator and Hypercam windows, but that doesn't work either. |

Where are you exactly trying to record from? Mic, or somewhere else? |

My Hypercam2 can only record things from the Mic. And if your planning on uploading the video to youtube, then go do something better with your life. It wont work. Even if you change it around with a program like WMM, it still wont work. AFTER A WEEK OF TRYING TO UPLOAD A FRICKEN VIDEO, IT CONTINUES TO FAIL, WHILE OTHER VIDEOS WORK. |

Incorrection. HyperCam CAN record what the speakers are doing!
Go to Control Panel -> Sounds and Multimedia* -> Audio* tab
*Names may differ depending on your operating system.
Hopefully (though not sure about systems other than 2000 and XP), there should be either two or three sections: Sound Playback, Sound Recording (and at least on my system, MIDI Music Playback. Ignore this one.). Look at the Sound Playback thing and see what device it says. This should be the name of your speakers. If it isn't, then your computer probably isn't playing sounds, and you need to find out what your speakers ARE called. Now look at the Sound Recording option. If the device names don't match, then HyperCam cannot record the speaker output. Open the dropdown menu and select the thing with the same name as the output device. Click OK. Now you should have audio in your HyperCam recordings. If it still doesn't work, then I can't help you and you should call Geek Squad.
============================================= Method two: Volume Control window
At the bottom right of your screen, look for a thing that looks like a speaker, and doubleclick it. A window named "Master Volume" (or something similar) should come up. Go to Options and select Properties. (Again, this may differ depending on OS.) If the radio button for Recording isn't selected, then click it. At the bottom should now be a series of checkboxes different than the ones for playback. If "Line In" isn't checked, then check it and hit OK. The window should now be named Recording Control. In the column named "Line In", move the slider so that it is at least halfway up. (Depending on how LOUD you want your recordings to be, you could even put it at the top if you want.) Now close the window. HyperCam should be recording speaker output now.

And Tsuki, YouTube uploads HyperCam'd videos just fine, whether they've been WMM'd or not. Both of the videos that I have on there (I don't do much recording...) have been HyperCam'd and directly uploaded as AVIs, and YouTube accepted them just fine. Though it takes so cragging long to upload...! If you can't upload videos, try a different browser. For some reason, YouTube has fits when I try to watch it in Netscape (sometimes I get emails from other members, and my email program is Netscape Mail). YouTube does recommend FireFox, but it should work with any Windows-compatible browser from this century. If you're on a Mac, be a non-noob and get a PC-- *shot by a Rocket Turret because GLaDOS is a Hackintosh* |

Unless it takes longer than four days to upload a video, it doesn't work for me. And IE doesn't even work on my computer. o3o EDIT:

Mostly because there is no drop menu for the recording tab for Vista, and because double clicking the speaker icon doesn't bring up the master volume. ... ;; |

And the sad thing is, Wacko, I've already tried both of those. And Hypercam still isn't recording sound. |

When in doubt, call Geek Squad. That's the only remaining advice I have for the problem. And if you're really desperate, then put a microphone in front of the speaker, then have a seperate program record the game sounds while you play, and then manually edit them together in WMM. The only disadvantages are that if you have a habit of talking/shouting at a game, the microphone would pick that up too, and when you paused/stopped the HyperCam recording, the microphone recording wouldn't automatically stop at the same time. |
