I'm currently acquring this game. It looks like it will be a very fun game. It is a first-person shooter. You may play as a human colonial marine, a Predator, or an Alien.
I will enjoy playing as an alien. As an alien, you can crawl on walls, ceilings, any surface. I'll enjoy being on the ceiling above my opponent and impaling them with my tail, or destroying their head with my lunging second pair of jaws. Aliens can also see in the dark, as well as detect other lifeforms that are nearby.
The humans receive a lot of guns and weapons, obviously. Firepower is their strength.
Predators receive all of their goodies, such as the battle claws, the spear, the spinning blade-disk they throw, lasers, and their cloaking. Their hunting mask also grants them four kinds of vision. Standard, heat/thermal, electromagnetic, and technology detection. The predator can also cloak itself, becoming invisible.
The game will be a blast to play online. I can imagine crawling through a ventilation shaft, as my victim walks through a dark, dripping, metal hallway below.
You can even put the settings to require you to play through the full alien lifecycle. This means that you will start as a facehugger, need to attach to another players face, impregnate them with an egg, and then burst out of their chest. (This happens about three seconds after you attach to them as the facehugger. Players nearby can kill the player during the three seconds of thrashing about, which will prevent the larvae from emerging from the player's chest.) As a larvae, you must hide and wait about a minute before you grow into the full-sized killing machine. Or, you could just not use this setting and start off as an alien. But there are many settings and modes you can put into place for fun.
All in all, I think that this game will be a blast. I'm sure you can tell that I will be selecting Alien as my species.

Here is a particularly stupid alien player, charging at the human player head-on, likely giving the human time to shoot at it. Although, as an alien your pounce attack can cover ground in moments.

Should the servers still be online, I will let you know. Perhaps a few people from Digibutter might want to play this online with me and my friends? Of course, as you can see, the game certainly doesn't have new-age graphics. |

I believe the game came out in 2001. Regardless of aged graphics, it looks like it has a lot of fun gameplay. Stalking people in multiplayer will be a blast. |

I'm not sure. I never heard much about it either, though when I was very young, I remember seeing it on the shelf and drooling over it. I loved and still love the Alien and Predator movies. |

I love Alien. Mostly because of the kickass cool Xenomorph featured. |

Apparently you can play as two types of Alien in this game. The drone, pictured in the two images above, or one called the "Runner", which is like the drone, save for the runner runs on four legs, and is much faster. However, it has a bit less power and armor/endurance. It can leap upon targets like a dog and rip their throats out.
I believe I will be playing as the drone, however. I like its build and attributes more. |

I loved them all. 2 and resurrection are my favorites, I think. |
