I hear a lot of this sort of bullshit, living in the anti-change redneck county that I live in. As a matter of fact, I had to tell off a kid for blabbing on about Obama being a Muslim terrorist and how he will force all oaths to be sworn over the Koran... along other things. I live in the heart of Michigan redneck country, so I have to ignore it... but there have even been people I know who admitted to wanting to join the KKK. :\ |

Yeah, those people are idiots. They're just spouting nonsense and anti-intellectual hatred; why not point out the things that are actually bad about Obama instead, such as his tax plan that, in a way, punishes the successful by taxing them more? The USA shouldn't be a society that makes the rich guy the "bad guy;" nor should it be a society that forces people to give up the money they earned for the benefit of people that are not as successful. Sure, plenty of rich people didn't earn their money the right way, but there are plenty of entrepreneurs who built their success up for themselves. Plus, the middle class doesn't pay very high taxes, anyway.
I'm not supporting McCain, either- neither of the big candidates are truly pushing for a socially free, yet truly capitalist society.
In my opinion, an unchanging, 10% yearly taxation for everyone, regardless of income, is affordable, and is a better alternative to any tax plan the candidates are proposing for this overspending government. |
