Doopliss: His name comes from the word duplicitous, which means one who deliberately deceives others.
Mario: NEVER TALKS! That drives me crazy, lol.
Lord Crump: Breaks 4th Barrier in PMTTYD when he talks to the player and tells them not to tell Mario about his disguise. |

In all the RPG games: No, Mario does say things like "Luigi!" in the M&L games.
In the Paper Mario games: Kinda. You can hear him faintly say "Woohoo" when he jumps a few times, though that may not really count. In reality, it's the same case as Legend of Zelda though, where it just skips your character's dialogue. Really, would you really be interested in seeing "I'm-a Mario" appear onscreen every time a villager asks who you are? |

Even though he started in a game where Mario starred, Wario is largely unrelated to Mario, to the point where we could question if those two live in the same world. Sport games put aside, it is. It's more obvious starting from Wario Land 4. |

IIRC, Wario was the last boss in one of the Mario Land games. Also, there was a game called "Mario & Wario" on the SNES. |

In the case of most games, and series in particular, the characters rarely age (and when they do, the age is rarely stated anyway). |

And the exact opposite in Fable 2. After escaping the Tattered Spire, you look like an old coot, but everyone except you, Lucien, and your kid should you have one all look exactly the same. Even Garth and Hammer look pretty much the same after 10 years. |

In Fable 1, you aged as you gained EXP. M'aiq's character was 70 by the time he beat the game.
Whisper still looked like she was 20, and Thunder looked exactly the same as he did when he saw him as a new-recruit in the Heroe's Guild. |

I always thought Zoras were kinda fishy, if you ask me... (bad pun)
But seriously...
I never understood how Bowser can suddenly gain a voice in Super Mario Sunshine, and then lose it in the very next game and go back to "GWARRRAAAGHHH!" |

That in Mario RPG games, everyone can understand him when he says a random sound. |

Hell, a simple jump can translate to a well thought out sentence.
With that in mind, he could recite Shakespear just by getting on a trampoline. |
