...Every recent game seems to be within the Adventure set of games...

Dream Land Set:

Kirby's Dream Land
Kirby's Dream Land 2
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

Adventure Set:

Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dream Land
Kirby Super Star/Ultra
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Kirby Squeak Squad

...As you can see... Dream Land has only 4 games, while Adventure has 6...

...I want another Dream Land game. They're so much more epic, not to mention have overall better music.

The people who made all the Dreamland games past 1 are seperate from the Adventure team.

Dreamland lacks Meta Knight and the Sword ability, aswell as having Needle more prominent than it is in the Adventure series.

Dark Matter is a constant in Dreamland, whereas a random threat appears in Adcenture from out of the blue.

And lastly, Rick, Nago, Chuchu, Kine, Coo, Gooey and Pitch are absent from Adventure.

The point is that the people who have the rights to the Dreamland 2 onward are most likely gone or working for a really long time.

I never knew they had separate teams... D:

Well, either way, they need to make a new Dream Land one... Even if they need to get a new team.

Adventure is way more hectic and focuses mostly on speed. Dream Land games are so much more peaceful, and are generally more puzzling. I like that more than nonstop action.

I just want Gooey back. He was, like, the best almost Kirby clone ever.

Well, it's more creepy, but compared to the amount of blood-pounding action of Adventure games... Yeah... Peaceful-ish, for a final boss.

Compare Zero and Zero Two to Meta Knight and Marx... BIG difference in the amount of action.

You have just answered the question as to why there's hasn't been Dreamland games.

Action.

Most gamers want action. This is also why we go to the movies: action. Even movies of other generes have action. A movie with little to no action would be dull and not go well amongst most viewers who want action.

Sure, not every second has to be action packed, but most of it at least. This is why the Lord of the Rings movies skipped the scenes involving Tom Bombadil, severely shortened the Council of Elrond, and lengthened to incredible lengths the Battle of Helm's Deep. Oh, and also why they made Faramir try to get the Ring from Frodo by draging him part of the way to Minas Tirith.
