I agree as well. I know a majority of the site comes from the US, but still... Setting it up like it's a US event only, basically tells anyone who ISN'T from the USA to just go away for the day. :\ It's also incredibly awkward for those of us who aren't from the States... |
Its not just an American holiday, and I did not say that it HAS to be JUST Americans!
And why are you claiming that American Holidays are being forced down your throat?
All I want is for people to think about how their freedoms, no matter where they live or were born, were fought for and often times people died for it.
I SAID that you DO NOT have to take part in it if you do not want to! I never said you had to leave the forum for the day or anything of that sort!

Honestly, M'aiq hopes that Frozen doesn't complain about everywhere being forced to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" nowadays. She is probably saying that because people suggested a July 4th party a while back.
And in all honesty, holiday prejudice is just pathetic. M'aiq wouldn't care if we had some random Asia-only holiday celebrated here, just as long as it's not some random Anime-based holiday that was started by some retarded cult on the internet, that's the only time M'aiq would object. |

I'm working on the banner right now, you know, just in case. And you never know, Francis might use the banner one day. And hey, it gives me something to do. One fourth is the American flag. One fourth is going to be the England flag. Another fourth is going to be the French flag. The last fourth is yet to be determined. I may put the Russian flag there, since they really helped with World War I and II. |

No, I sort of get what you mean. The Russians attacked Berlin, causing Hitler to commit suicide. But the way you phrased that made it sound like Hitler committed suicide because some Russian troops died. |

Yes, I know that.
It's one of the reasons that we're reacting to this. We have the 4th of July, Presidential Elections (okay, the elections, I have no problem with at all, but, you know), and now Veteran's Day. We're just saying that we want to be able to participate in the event. |

omg Medi, YOU didn't read MY post. I said I agreed with the celebration of it because it's like our Remembrance Day.
And Chocobo it shouldn't matter if the Canadian's were or weren't a big part of the war. ( WHICH THEY WERE SO SHUT UP BEFORE I MURDER MYSELF. ) It's the fact that they were in the war, and that people died trying to protect my and your freedom. GAWD. |
