What other forum uses this stupid system of strikes and courts.
When strikes didn't work, you should have just stripped them out Francis.
They take power away from the mods, and with it, respect.
Respect runs forums, and without it all you get is chaos.
If you don't trust the mods to make good judgments, fire them. Don't *crag* baby them.
All we need is the jail key and the jail, that's it.
To go any further than that is ignorant and merely complicates the problem.
Meowmod is a mask for mods that let's them make stupid strikes without proper judgment of whether or not a post deserves to be stricken, and the court system is a mask for you, Francis, to basically strip away all powers of the mods and turn their position into one big publicly viewable report board.
The court does nothing but make mods obsolete.
if you want to get rid of mods, get rid of them.
Don't pull this shit. |

You know, I actually agree with Popple. The court basically just takes away a large portion of the Mod's powers. Skip it all and just go with temp bans. |

I once again reference SRB2's banning system.
They run on a three strike system, though it was changed recently. You get punished every strike with a tempban.
Strike 1: 1 week Strike 2: 2 weeks Strike 3: 52 weeks (AKA 1 year).
As you can imagine, this easily weeds out the good, and the bad. I still don't think this forum is bad enough to have to resort to such strict punishments, but it should be better at least. For example, I still say have tempbans instead of jail for repeat offenders.

Just *crag* get rid of jail so the members in jail just float in limbo.
That is a tempban.
Having mods be able to give tempbans would be great and would *crag* fix everything. |

I say we get rid of mods and rely entirely on a court system
1. Mods have personal grievances against something and are likely to overreact on anything
2. Mods will strike for the slightest reason no matter if its in a joking term
3. Mods are entirely useless if we just have the members report what they dont want in their forums
3a. And the reporter should make the court topic |

Everything you just said had to do with the court.
The court forces mods to become reporters as opposed to mods. |

I agree. Court is basically useless, and strikes werent' a very good idea in retrospect. |

I say we keep court. It gives people a fair trial. Plus the jail is much more strict nowadays. |

No it doesn't, I completely support the court just not the mods in charge of it |

Well, the strike system reminds me a lot of the warning system that other forums use, and I think that's fine. But, I really think the court should just go. So should the jail. On most forums, after you get a certain number of strikes/warnings, you just get a temp ban. There isn't any jail or court or any of that shit. I honestly think that Francis was trying too hard to make a good punishment system. Seriously, just make it three strikes and you get a temp ban. It's that simple. And let's say if you get a temp ban like, 10 times, then you get permanently banned. No matter who it is or what they did, they'll get a perma ban if they get temp banned 10 times. |

Three strikes = a temp ban and 10 temp bans = Permaban sounds nice. And get rid of this damn jail key, having a forum item deal out punishment is slow and inefficient. Otherwise, either Nastasia's idea or the SRB2 forums rip off would work better. |

I mean, forum =/= real life. In real life, you get *cragged* in jail. On Digibutter, you leave the computer, take a pee, then notice that you're no longer jailed. |
