As for me, I'm scared of what Obama's gonna do as president. I know taxes will be leveled up dramatically, and any law the Democrats want to pass will be passed, since they control the Senate, Congress, and the White House. We're so screwed...

But he's still a great guy, and I really think he can do something about this country. I agree with him a lot. Let's not keep the rich rich. We all deserve something.
And next time, it'll be our generation's turn (those who aren't 18, that is... I missed it by 6 months...) to decide if he can keep the change going. |

This may be semi-off topic, but I'd like to say that the reason for our economic meltdown wasn't entirely Bush's fault. The economy may have tanked during the middle of his eight-year reign, yes, but the factors leading up to the economy's big demise were numerous and predated Bush's reign, unseen during the economic prosperity pre-Bush. Bush just didn't do anything to ease the pain; instead, he fed it. |

Ah, no, my apologies, I wasn't clear enough. I simply meant that Obama is only a president-elect, and still has no power, meaning he can't effect the economy directly. I didn't mean to way it was the fault of Bush, I simply meant that Bush is currently a president, albeit a lame duck. |

I don't think anyone understands that people are rich, for a reason. And people are poor, for a reason. At least, for the most part. It's because people aren't wise with their money, they spend it all on useless stuff, and therefore making them poor. People are rich, because they earned it. Again, this is just a generalization. |
