If there's a glitch in the system should someone be jailed for it? As this happened to me, I think no. After all, when a store like walmart puts the wrong price on their flyers, they have to honor that. So why when francis has a glitch in his site, why can WE get in trouble for exploiting it?

Even though the jailing was when I was in school, I still honestly find this wrong.

There's also this; the very first rule list to begin with. Francis has stated that he did not create the "Official Rule List" and has disagreed with some of those points. But these rules, Francis has officialy made himself.

Those rules are out of date; rather, the stickied rule list should be updated with information on this.

Anyway. How far do we take it, then? Dozens of people have shopped at the stores that abuse the rules. Banning a large portion of the site is illogical, and going after the shop keepers that are the root of the problem isn't a very good idea, either. What good will it be to make an example out of members who exploited a problem that will be fixed and never become exploitable again?

This loophole in the system is too obvious to actually be punishable, as it is seemingly so easy to accomplish, and it is too tempting for the general populace ot pass up. It's a basic flaw in the system that needs to be fixed. Once it's fixed, we can just move on.

Oh, and to the thread creator, I'm with ya on the Wal-Mart example. I once got Mass Effect for $20 less than it was supposed to be sold for. : P

OK, you two do have me there.
However, it has been said that ultimario had told francis that this glitch was there.

AND it was left there.
if Francis knew it was there, you can't honestly say it was abuse if it was left in.

He wasn't online for a long time lol.

Also the usershops are currently closed so Francis can take care of the glitch without more shit going down.

They were jailed to stop them from abusing the glitch more than they already did, and to keep them from causing havok with their new found wealth. The mods did what they were told to do: lock people up when they appear to be out of control and ask questions later.

UltiMario is correct, I took action as soon as I knew what was going on.
