However, Genesis wasn't completely correct. At the top of the tree itself, a guard unit of Brotherhood of Yoshis guild members was stationed, having been assigned to the post by Black before he disappeared. They had not spotted him yet, as they were too busy conversing and slacking off.

Genesis began looking around the area, prolly for Ness and Paula. "Where are those two?"

Genesis hadn't noticed the guard unit at the top. 'Course, that might just be because he doesn't have eagle-eye vision or whatever.

Genesis immediately turned his attention to the sky as the signal lighted up the air. "... Gah, nevermind them, it's time to begin." He stretched out his wing, getting ready for flight. "Alright, I had best get a move on." With he leap, he took to the air, headed for the top of the tree.

The Brotherhood sentries atop the tree had vanished though a Mists Rift at the false alert sent by Kamek... at least, all but a single woman in a blue archer's outfit. As Genesis ascended the tree, he would find himself in the midst of a shower of arrows raining down from atop the tree.

Stop right there, or I'll keep raining arrows.

He did so, figuring now wouldn't be the best time to test his luck. He decended to the nearest platform, so his wing wouldn't have to get too tired.

An arrow went whizzing by Genesis's ear.

Like hell. The disappearance of my Sentry unit and that glow at once was suspicious enough, but your appearance seals it for me. Now, tell me your real business here... or the next arrow won't be a miss.

He flinched slightly at the arrow. "Well, bluntly put, I'm here to destroy any opposing forces here and take over the tree.

There would have been more here, but I hae no clue where those other two went..."

Figured as much. Now, just turn tail and flutter off before I pin you to the tree like a clothesline.

Blue raised her Storm Bow and nocked an arrow, waiting to see Genesis's decision.

And of course, him being the stubborn, aggresive thorn-in-the-side I've made him into, he didn't leave. Instead, he tried to slash at Blue, hoping to catch her at least slightly off-guard.
