I'd like to play something new, but I'm not sure what. When suggesting, please include the following information: *Website URL *Free or P2P (if P2P, include cost and period of time) *Download, browser-based, or CD-install *Genre (fantasy, sci-fi, ect.) *Graphics (as well as camera-angle, which would be 2D, 2.5, or 3D) *Class types *Class bonuses *What makes it fun and more appealing than other MMORPGs. |

I'm just gonna go down that list you got there.
Obviously I'm gonna say Guild Wars http://www.guildwars.com/
F2P, but you have to buy the campaigns and stuff.
CD-install.
Fantasy
Graphics are fairly good, It's 3D, and stuff.
10 different classes, 90 possible class combinations. some 1300 skills, only 8 can be used at any time.
Choosing whatever class as your primary profession gives you an edge over others with that class as their secondary profession(A Me/E has different uses than a E/Me).
We have an awesome guild there, and it's not that hard to get stuff.

Besides World of Warcraft, I dunno.
You already know the details...
Oh, and some people consider Phantasy Star Universe an MMORPG, although it's like Guild Wars where only the lobbies are MMO-ish. Probably not the best idea right now, though, since Sega of America hasn't updated in two months. Game just isn't too fun without a friend or two. I heard that updates are starting up again soon anyway... http://www.phantasystaruniverse.com
P2P, You can find a used copy of PSU for about $20, the Ambitions expansion is somewhat needed because it'll basically double the online content and give you access to the casino/new rooms/sexy weapons, it costs another $20, and online is $10 per month.
Console based, Ambitions expansion takes somewhat more than 1GB on your 360 hard drive.
Fantasy/Sci-fi.
Graphics are good, but not great. 3D, obviously.
4 races, 3 basic classes that branch into about 10 advanced classes.
CASTs get to summon giant cannons, Beasts can turn into giant...beasts, Humans and Newmans will supposedly get special racial skills in the next expansion. Besides that, the only benefits classes get are that they can equip S-rank weapons of certain types and altered stats.
-There is nothing more rewarding than creating a good weapon. -You're more in-control of your actions than in most RPGs. You attack when you attack, not after a weapon speed's delay, for example. -You can open a shop in your room and sell just about anything to people. -They occasionally do special events where you can get shitloads of exp, rare items, or PA Fragments(all of which are needed for some of the best things in the game). -You can change classes as you please, so there is no need to create new characters often. -You can repeat missions as often as you like, if you really love a certain boss or something. |

*Website URL - Worldofwarcraft.com *Free or P2P (if P2P, include cost and period of time) P2P, Well, if you have never played it before, you have to pay like 60 for all the expansions and then like 15 a month ( I heard it went down, I personally just use the game cards) *Download, browser-based, or CD-install- Cd install *Genre (fantasy, sci-fi, ect.) Fantasy *Graphics (as well as camera-angle, which would be 2D, 2.5, or 3D) 3d. Kinda cartoonish looking, Not very much though *Class types- You got your casters, you got your tanks, and you got two or three which can do a little bit of all of it. *Class bonuses- Ceartin classes dominate others, it's fairly balanced, Except for paladins vs anything because it's like killing them three times. *What makes it fun and more appealing than other MMORPGs. It has instanced dungeons which is fun, Big community's, The guild system is the best I've seen as far as its like cleanness and the features of it. Overall its an amazing game but if you would rather not pay you can just download the clients on some websites and play a private server. There are a few highly populated ones.
Because of my friends spamming, I'm going to post some useful input here. |

Website URL- Worldofwarcraft.com
Free or P2P (if P2P, include cost and period of time)- Pay to play. 15 or so dollars each month.
Download, browser-based, or CD-install- CD-install. Although you can buy a CD key from the site and download the client.
Genre (fantasy, sci-fi, ect.)- High Fantasy.
Graphics (as well as camera-angle, which would be 2D, 2.5, or 3D)- 3D; not cutting edge, but highly polished. Cartoonish style that doesn't become too serious or too silly. Good balance.
Class types- Hunter, mage, warlock, priest, warrior, death knight (If you already have a level 55 character), paladin, shaman, druid, rogue... am I missing anything? Well, each class has specific talents, so, you can have two completely different kinds of warriors, for instance- like a damage warrior or a tank warrior.
Class bonuses- It ultimately depends on how you spec your talent trees. As I said, you could have two completely different kinds of warriors depending on how you spec them.
What makes it fun and more appealing than other MMORPGs.- It's highly polished. Its dungeon and raid runs are quite good, and the storyline has improved greatly in recent times- although, it still had more plot than plenty of other MMORPGs, anyway. The Battleground fights are great, and the arenas are, if that's your type of thing. Nothing's better than a good old dungeon raid, though, in my opinion. |
