Ditto with Metal Gear Solid 4, and I probably drank a case and a half of Dr. Pepper while doing it.
I would HATE to see what would happen when that kid tries World of Warcraft... |
Didn't a kid faint after playing that, too? | Actually, he died for playing WoW for 3 days due to fatigue |

I've got you all beat. When I first got Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube, I played it for three and a half days straight. I got food and stuff, sure, but I pretty much never took a break. In fact, it would have been four whole days if my dad hadn't forced me to go to bed that night. So basically this just proves how awesome Tales of Symphonia is. |

I feel so lame, the only game I've ever played for over 20 hours straight was... Sonic Mega Collection. *thud* Yup. Not an MMO. Not an RPG. Just... really old Sonic games that consist almost entirely of running and jumping. @__@ |

It'll be for charity, but since Children In Need's done and gone and I don't have that much time to kill anytime soon, I suppose I'll have to wait for Comic Relief or something. |

This is far from lame. The old Sonic games are actually some of the best. The newest Sonic game, Sonic The Hedgehog was probably the most atrocious abomination of a Sonic game I've seen all my life. Needless to say I actually loathed it with a passion. So I went back to one of the first Sonic games and I couldn't bring myself to put down the controller until I'd just about beaten it. |

I did the Gran Turismo 4 24 hour Nürburgring race non stop. No food, no water, no bathroom break. 24 pure hours. It was pure fun. |

Best I have ever done is stayed up all of Chirstmas Day and the next playing a bunch of different PS1 games I got, taking bathroom and food breaks.
Straight, it was 14 hours on Guild Wars doing Elite Missions. :U |

On the subject of gaming marathons, the day I got Rock Band, I played for about 20 hours straight. |

Someone dies from WoW. They didn't eat. They wouldn't stop. People will however say video games are bad for you. I'm sure they only seeing the 3 insane people, not the Thousands and thousands of normal people. I mean, you could take that same logic with water. Someone died from drinking water, Thus water is BAD. |

Uhm...
World of Warcraft.
Yeah... I can play it for a long time... >_>
However, the fact that I can stop playing at any time (with the exception of being close to leveling up, or in an instance), and that I don't depend on the game make it a non-addicting part of my life (thank God). I just enjoy playing it, because it's fun.
Now this kid on the other hand...He must have something irrational going on in his brain. That's not addiction, it seems like a more serious mental state that the Playstation simply triggered. |

The most I'm ever able to get to an all-nighter on a game is when I get a new game, my parents (usually) let me play it all day from when we get home until bedtime, and even then I usually weasel in an extra half hour. And despite how sank my DS is, I can still do a few extra hours of Mario Party DS or something. (My other games cause the DS to fail faster, and thanks to Cragstine Gregoire raising taxes (and my dad's workplace nomming his extra overtime hours), I can't buy a new DS. Maybe for Christmas...) Anyway, even if I could go all day just playing a game (no food, bathroom, whatever), my parents wouldn't let me. And even if they did, my hunger would actually take control of my body and make a beeline for the kitchen if it sensed I was skipping a meal. (Or, more commonly, if my mom tries to make me skip lunch so I can "lose weight". More like "lose my sanity and/or the desire to have anything to do with you".) I seriously have respect for these guys who can play a game all day without subconsious brain override, having to use the bathroom, or sleep. Maybe that's how all those Mario Kart Wii players got Three-Star Rankings and over 8000 VR Points... |

I once played Link's Awakening for four days straight, which included me playing it while eating, bathroom, and even during school (Lol my fifth grade teacher had teh fail at watching class). Of course, I sucked at games, and I died a lot, but I played that game from beginning to end. I Ended up passing out for nineteen hours. xD; |
