It seems like a fun idea or so... But is there really much of a point to blinking text? The bads seem to overweight the small possible goods to come out of this feature.

The only bad thing is people with epilepsy and we've already got possible solutions to that.

Seizures are covered in the situation, but even with it, the feature seems like it will be a slight novelty with abusement in the first weeks, and then quickly decline to the point where they're rarely used. And their usage wouldn't be adding much to Digibutter in the first place. Flashing text might bring some extra attention to areas of text, but this can easily be accomplished with other tags without interference of the implement times and seizure-preventing measures. Other than that, there's not much point to add flashing text from what I see.

That happens with every feature. I can't really MAKE people use blinking text, they could use it when they want to.

Did you even read the rest of the *crag* topic?
With what he said, do you even need to ask?

With the perfectly reasonable countermeasure suggested above, did you need to say that?
No. Did I want to? Yes.

I was in a rush, I'm sorry.

Or in the profile area, you could choose if you want to be able to view it or not.

That way people with epileptic problems wouldn't have to see it, or something?

if this actually gets implemented than this is the best solution

ohmygodreadthetopicbeforeyoupost

The text wouldn't blink FAST enough to give any epileptic people a seizure.
