Yes. The current spoiler tags work juuuuuuuuuust fine. Though links bork spoiler tags, because a link is greenish. But links don't need to be spoiler'd. That's what the [url=http://www.littlebigworkshop.com/blahblahblah] tag is for. |

Mm, if this had been suggested a while ago when there were actually spoilers to censor, I might be more in favour of this.
Perhaps if we keep the current [spoiler] tags, and make these new tages [spoil] or something, so that posts that have black-background text don't bork.
But, to be honest, I don't really see their necessity any more... |

we can highlight in any color, instead of just black with those too... like [highlighter=red]a red bar will appear over this[/highlight] |

Either way, wouldn't anybody like to use them?
The spoiler tags we have now, don't work when we quote, and it's kind of annoying, and I accidentally select over spoiler tags anyways... |

That might be interesting. And I know it's possible, because usernames can have a highlighted background. To do this, Francis just needs to copypasta the code and create the tag syntax for it.
A lot of people could use ths in their Post Templates, sort of like Gold Prognosticus uses the current spoiler tags and color=gold for his text... |

Okay, the highlighting thing is going to be really lame and eyeblinding. Someone could put like, yellow text and cyan highlights, or red text and magenta highlights, and many other bad color combinations. Honestly, the only one that actually works is black. Not sure about white, it might blend in a little with the background, so it might not do much.
I really think we should just keep the current spoiler tags. Like stated before, it'll screw up all posts with spoiler tags from before. Besides, who gives a shit if someone posts something major about a game or book anyways? I've never seen anyone here throw a fit over a spoiler. And it's their fault if they highlight it and see what's behind the spoiler tags. I don't really see many people posting spoilers here anyways, besides overly obvious and old stuff like "SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE" and "SHEIK IS ZELDA." Seriously, the ones we have now are FINE. |

Got an idea to stop the spoiler tags ruining all the other posts using them.
[spoiler=something] will do the the thing with the box, while just {spoiler} will do a black highlight. |

I think we should make those new spoiler tags, and that the current spoilers should be turned into black highlighter tags. Then we could make a million different colors for highlighters and then [redhighlight]this would be red[/redhighlight], [greenhighlighter]this would be green[/greenhighlighter], etc. |

Highlight would be a bad idea because of [you] tags. The red background when you hover over and all.
Our spoiler tags are fine, really, no need to change them. |
