Okay, so I'm wondering whether or not I should buy TF2.
I technically have the money and whilst I have a small obligation (smashed a candle stand and have to get it repaired, ;_; ) it is nearly January which would have me get pocket money, which is more then the $ 19.99 Valve demands.
However...
A) I dunno is I want TF2; I used to play Guild Wars and I kinda stopped 'cos of school. It seems epic, I wanna get into it and maybe play with the Digi people, but dunno if that's worth €20 if I chuck it away after a week or jsut get to in in the holidays / weekends.
B) I dunno if I can support TF2; my PC claims to have a 18 MBits/s connection, but it craps out at times and can lag (at least in GW, though that was my old PC, which has only 512 MB RAM. This one has 1 GB, fianlly, which still isn't much.)
I don't know the precise specs of this PC, only got is yesterday, but the Vista Power Index gives me this:
Weitere Details über den Computer
Komponente Details Teilbewertung Gesamtbewertung Prozessor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz Arbeitsspeicher (RAM) 1,00 GB Grafik NVIDIA GeForce 7650 GS Grafik (Spiele) 511 MB insgesamt verfügbarer Grafikspeicher Primäre Festplatte 23GB frei (47GB Gesamt) Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium

And, as a final question, I wonder how to pay for TF2. Y'see, in Germany, it's rated 18+. I dunno why, but I s'pose the government wants out best. Steam seems to have no problem with letting me DL it, but I need to pay for it. Now, ever since my dad (who is a real PC whizz, saved my comp a dozen times) got trojan'd online (yay 5000 € debt) he refuses to pay digitally. And he was protected.
There is a website called ClickAndBuy.com, which Steam accepts, and its AGB states - in perfect german, so it adheres to german law, and I was at the german brand - that people over 14 can use it, and I am over 14. I just wonder if that site is safe.
So, yeah...

I've been playing the inferior 360 version for *crag* MONTHS. At spaced intervals, but still, months. |
