Please, no matter what the circumstances, do not delete a topic and/or post that has been striked. It's very annoying to have a topic that cannot be judged properly because the evidence no longer exists.
Also, in deleting a topic and/or post, you are technically an accomplice of the accused now, meaning that you are guilty of a crime now as well.
So, just a thought. |

Except if it's something pornographic and flat-out nasty, but then a strike probably wouldn't be dealt but a jailing instead. And the defendant would have to be an idiot to plead not guilty.
Maybe the really bad posts could be held in some sort of visible Crime Lab, so there's evidence but people don't have to see goatse and stuff? |

There should be an "Evidence Locker" visible area to move posts that still have no plea on them, or have been pled Not Guilty on.
And they should come with warnings for particularly bad stuff. |

This. And the title of said topic should be changed to avoid confusion, something along the lines of "Evidence against <Name> for <Charge>" |

No topics are truly deleted.
Remember- only mods can vote on the verdict anyway, but if you need to know what they did that badly, feel free to ask.
Of course, if the original poster edits out/deletes the post themselves, there should be a larger punishment if it had already been OK'd for a strike. |

Generally, though, if something is deleted, it's usually bad. |
